These are the notes from the remote shooter (see November 3rd) for the 3rd parent sponsored party which was casino themed. I've separated the notes for the set-up and the actual event. These notes pertain to the set-up:
The house is recently purchased. It worked as the setting for the Casino party since it had some empty spaces where the gaming tables could go. Apparently Mary Ellen had a casino party for her sixteenth birthday and it was though it would provide more interaction and context for the gathering in the second party. It didn't take too long to get set up, as most of the work was done by the gaming crew, who brought in the cards and chips for the games. There were professional dealers at the tables.... Buffet dinner was catered; shrimp, ham, teriyaki chicken, fruits, tiny sweets for dessert. Water, soft drinks and wine. Debs seemed to mostly drink the water.
There were favors for the girls, especially the Christmas ornaments made to commemorate the party. The girls all wore tiaras. Sponsoring parents were there. It seemed like a full turnout of debs as they lined up the staircase for pix.
Cassie and her mom were meeting in the afternoon to inspect the setup for the party. Cassie had had her hair just done. She seemed very tired; said she had to have a nap. We figured out logistics of how she would ride with me to the country club so they wouldn't end up with too many cars at Mary Ellen's house. Cassie was eager to have a pajama party there at Mary Ellen's. It became evident that Cassie, Spencer and Mary Ellen seemed to be great pals.
